Acting Bio

Tommy Novak(They/Them/Their) is a non-binary comedic AEA/AGMA performer who has performed all over the world. Some notable things about them are they have performed in Seussical the Musical as “Horton the Elephant” In 10 different productions nationally and twice internationally. Tommy is a Chicago Jeff Award nominated actor for playing “Max Bialystok” for Night Blue production of the The Producers. Some of their credits include; Avhram in Fiddler On the Roof (Lyric Opera Chicago), Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horror’s (Mercury Theater Chicago), Edna Turnblad in Hairspray the musical (Skylight Music Theater), Mr Braithwaite in Billy Elliot the Musical and Fatso O’Rear in Do Re MI (Porchlight), Anthony Dull In Love's Labour's Lost and Salisbury in King John (Utah Shakespeare Festival), Marcellus Washburn In The Music Man, and Baptisa Minola In Taming of the Shrew (Arkansas Shakespeare Theater) and “Friar Tuck” in Robin Hood at (First Stage). Tommy has toured nationally a few times as an actor with Utah Shakespeare Theater as well as Arkansas Shakespeare Theater. They have also have toured internationally to China performing and teaching musical theater. Some other theaters they have worked for are: Skylight, First Stage, Milwuakee Rep, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Arkansas Shakespeare, Marriott Theater, Mercury, Marcus Center and Porchlight.
